Kentucky’s Family Resource & Youth Services Centers
The Kentucky Family Resource and Youth Services Centers (FRYSC) were established as a component of the historic Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA) of 1990. The mission of these school-based centers is to help academically at-risk students succeed in school by helping to minimize or eliminate non-cognitive barriers to learning. FRYSCs are strengthened by community partnerships in their ability to provide vital programs, services and referrals to students and their families. Barriers to academic success can be eliminated through the support of FRYSC! Yes, there will continued to be bumps in the road, but with positive coping skills, a child becomes the future for all of us. At Mt. Washington Middle School, we invest in our students and their families.
Resources: Dare to Care at the Lions Club in Mt. Washington every 3rd Sat. of each month. Please show proof of residency. Community Ministries is on Thursdays from 9AM to noon at 275 Snapp Street. Please have photo ID with you. Uniform & school supplies items are always available through the YSC.
